Scholarships at University of Tasmania, Australia

  1. Tasmanian International scholarship (TIS) – covers 25% of the tuition fees for the duration of study – available for all courses.
  2. Dean of TSBE merit scholarship – for all business programs except Professional Accounting, for high achieving students (covers 50% of tuition fees for the duration of study).
  3. Work ready program – to undergraduate students of Business and Economics.
  4. Scholarships at Australian Maritime College (AMC) of University of Tasmania:
    • AMC Seafaring Scholarship – highly prestigious and competitive scholarships to encourage high performing international students from India or Sri Lanka to study Marine Engineering and Nautical Science.
    • International Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship – to female students for the Bachelor of Engineering (Specialisation) with Honours and Master of Engineering (Maritime Design)
    • Women in Seafaring Scholarship – awarded to female students for Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering)

  5. South Asia Short Term Living Allowance Bursary – AUD 5200-given over two intakes, for students admitted to the following programs:
    • Master of Business Administration (Advanced) (Maritime and Logistics Management).
    • Master of Engineering (Maritime Design)
    • Master of Logistics Management (Advanced)
    • Master of Professional Engineering (Specialisation)
  6. Dean of Law’s Merit Scholarship – for students having an offer in combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws
  7. 10% UTAS Tuition Fee Discounts – for those who had a family member alumni at UTAS and for UTAS UG alumni who have applied for a PG coursework program.
  8. MITS Launceston Fee Reduction Promotion – AUD$2,500 fee reduction applied each semester for the duration of the course – available to international students who accept an offer to study Master of Information Technology and Systems (K7I) at the University of Tasmania’s Launceston campus commencing in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2020
