We are delighted to inform you that the Australian government has confirmed that international offshore students undertaking online studies will be eligible for post-study work visa. With this important update and with some of the lowest Covid – 19 rates in the world, this is an opportune time to start recruiting students in Australian universities.

International Flights from India have started to USA & Paris. Air France will operate 28 flights on the Delhi-Mumbai-Bangalore sector to Paris between July 18 and August 1. As for the United States, United Airlines to operate 18 flights between India and the US from July 17 to 31. These will include daily flights between Delhi and Newark and thrice-weekly services between Delhi and San Francisco.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) released it’s latest announcement on prioritizing study permit applications to facilitate online learning for international students for Fall 2020. Providing priority study-permit processing for students who have submitted a complete visa application online, to ensure that study permits are processed as quickly as possible for applications submitted before 15th Sept. 2020.

The Donald Trump administration has asked foreign students in the US, whose colleges have shifted to online teaching, to shift to schools that have in-person classes or leave the country, a move that potentially would affect thousands of Indian students in America.

Finally, the UK is opening its doors to international students. The Visa application centers will open from 6th July. Indian govt. has also allowed international students to travel abroad in the coming months. A 2-year post-study work visa will be granted to all students and free COVID-19 testing/ treatment will be provided to international students.

UK Visas and Immigration has recently announced an update on the exemptions to Tier 4 guidance as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. UKVI also finally provided a bit more clarification on the Post-Study Work Visa (GIR) set to come in force in Summer 2021 within that update as well. Please find below the key changes:

Government of Canada announced that the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) eligibility will not be impacted if a student’s Fall 2020 courses need to be online due to COVID-19. students will not have time deducted from the length of a future PGWPP for studies completed outside of Canada up to December 31, 2020.

Students from Algoma University’s Ste. Sault Marie campus are also eligible for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Project which offers a smoother pathway to permanent residency.
