Education System in Singapore

After 10th Standard ‐ Diplomas (6 months to 12 months) or Bachelors (3 years to 3.5 years)

Academic Intakes in Singapore

Some Institutes have three Intakes, some have four and some have Rolling Intakes, thereby recruitment to Singapore is possible throughout the year.

Part-time and Full-time work in Singapore

International students are normally not permitted to work part-time during their studies. However, they can apply for a work permit after their studies are completed if they have found a job. There are a few exceptions to this rule.

In case the students are enrolled in a course that has a built-in internship the students can work during that time. On a case-to-case basis, students can get a 1-month extension + 1 additional extension of 15 days is possible.

Full-time work after completion of studies:
For a Bachelor’s Graduates, the salary range can vary from S$ 1800 to S$ 2500 per month.

For a Master’s Graduates, the salary range can vary from S$ 2000 to S$ 3000 per month.

Cost of Study in Singapore

Study in Singapore expenses:

  • Most public universities in Singapore charge high tuition fees that range from S$9,000 to around S$50,000/per year.
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social sciences, engineering or natural sciences that have tuition fees between S$8,000 and S$11,000/year.
  • Medicine and health-related programmes usually have higher tuition fees of around S$43,000/year
  • On average, you’ll need at least S$1,000/month to live in Singapore.

  • Photocopy of applicant’s valid passport pages showing his/ her particulars.
  • Notary attested / Certified copy of Educational documents: Mark sheet and Certificates.
  • Proof of English (Letter from School/ University or IELTS or TOEFL Score Card.)
  • Statement of purpose (For MBA & Maters programme only)
  • Updated resume (For MBA programme only)

Documents required for Study Visa Application for Singapore

  • 4 Passport-size photographs in white background.
  • All supporting documents of foreign languages MUST be officially translated into English.
  • ICA‐IMM16 Form: Applicant’s signature MUST match with passport.
  • ICA-V36Form: To declare all applicant’s educational and working history. 
  • Applicant’s Passport: Expiry date must be more than 6 months.
  • Applicant’s Birth Certificate: Both parents’ names & the applicant’s names must be spelled exactly the same as the names shown in the applicant’s passport.
  • Affidavit of Name (if applicant’s name in BC differs with passport).
  • Applicant’s Marriage/Divorce Document (if married/divorced).
  • Applicant/Parent’s Valid Bank Statement(s).
  • One-day old funds will also be sufficient and Bank documents must not be issued more than 3 months before.
